At the function, the NA Vice Chairwoman expressed her hope that the gifts would provide warmth for the students this winter and help them ensure their health so they may gain better results at school. As the New Year and Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays are just around the corner, she asked the Son La provincial authorities to pay greater care to policy beneficiary families and poor people while ensuring social order and security so that local residents can enjoy safe and happy holidays. Further attention is also needed to preserve and promote traditional cultural values and practices of ethnic groups in the locality, she stressed. During her stay in Son La, the NA Vice Chairwoman also visited Suoi Lin Village, Van Ho Commune, and presented warm jackets to students at Van Ho Elementary School. She encouraged the students to do better and study harder at school in order to become upstanding citizens in the future. She also hailed the outcomes of the efforts made by people in Suoi Lin Commune and Van Ho District in general over the past recent years.
